What you look like spiritually

Welcome, everyone, to another episode of Ascended Masters 101! Today we’re going to be talking about what we look like spiritually. We have heard so often that we are not just our physical bodies, that we are more than that. And we know that and feel that. But what does that mean? Are we just a soul floating around that looks like a cloud or maybe a dove or something? We hear a lot of talk in spirituality today about our higher selves. How does that play into who we are and what we look like?

Very thankfully, the ascended masters have described this in detail—more than what we can discuss in one video, but we will cover the basics. In Mark 8:24, the blind man who’s vision had been restored said, “I see men as trees, walking.” King James version. This is actually pretty close to the truth.

Now this chart is what you look like spiritually. It is the chart of your divine self. It’s the image and likeness of God in you. This true self is the mystical heart of the world’s religions and illustrates many of the cosmic truths that have been discovered by the great mystics of east and west. This chart is made up of three parts which represent the trinity of your identity.

The lower figure in the chart is the one that you are most familiar with; the you that gets up and goes to work, hangs out with your friends and family and is trying to overcome your bad habits and be a better person. It’s the part of you that’s not yet perfect, that is still in the state of becoming all that you were ever meant to be. It’s the you that has a physical, flesh body and who is learning and growing in the schoolroom of earth. It is the part of you that is mortal, but that can become immortal.

If you look closely, you can see a little flame in the chest of this figure. This is the threefold flame of life. It is three-fold because it is made up of three intertwining plumes of light that represent the power, wisdom and love of God. The threefold flame is an extremely precious gift because it is literally a spark of God himself that he has transmitted from his heart to each one of our hearts. 

It’s a very tangible, spiritual flame that is focused within your physical body approximately at the heart. This is why we hear so often that to find God we must go within or enter our hearts or center in our hearts. For most people, their threefold flame is about 1/16 of an inch. This flame is something that we can tend like a flower and grow and intensify and expand as it glows upon the altar of our hearts. This flame is what gives us consciousness and self-awareness. It is actually what makes us different from animals. 

The lower figure is surrounded by what looks like violet fire. This is also called the violet flame. It is an incredible spiritual tool that is a gift from the ascended masters and is used to clear our burdens and negative karma and to expand God’s mercy and joy and love in our being. It dissolves misunderstandings and helps us to forgive and let go. It clears and frees our minds from those revolving negative thoughts and memories and feelings that are so hard to get rid of. 

Essentially, it helps free us from all those things that bog and weigh us down and keep us from feeling happy and free and centered and close to God. Since getting rid of this extra dross is so vital on the spiritual path, the violet flame is key to your progress.

If there is only one thing that you take away from the ascended masters teachings and this channel, I would say that it would be the incredible benefit and boon to your spiritual path of the use of the violet flame. People who apply it in their lives I have seen just become literally transformed even within a short period of time. You can apply it in your life any time, any day by reciting the mantras to the violet flame.

Now this tube that comes down around the violet flame is called the tube of light. It is a protective white light of God that protects us, and seals our chakras and aura from the heavy weight of darkness that is on the planet. It’s so critical to our spiritual safety. 

You can invoke the tube of light around you to protect you as you go about your day by using the Science of the Spoken Word. Many students of the ascended masters do this on a daily basis as part of their spiritual practice, because, let’s be real, there is a lot of unreal energy and stuff out there that we want to stay sealed and protected from. 

The figure in the middle of the chart that looks like Jesus is your higher self, also known as your real self or your Holy Christ Self. This being has been referred to by the Christian mystics as “the inner man of the heart.” Depending on the spiritual tradition you come from, you can think of your higher self as your inner guru, Atman or chief guardian angel. 

Now, your Holy Christ Self is, without question, the best and truest and dearest friend that you will ever have. As you are evolving in time and space in the schoolroom of earth, your higher self is the version of yourself that you are destined to become one with. 

Your higher self actually speaks to you as your voice of conscience, that still small voice in your heart that tells you the right way to go and what the right decision is.

Your higher self is also called the mediator because it is that portion of your being that is real enough to stand in the holy presence of God which is the top figure in the chart. It can therefore translate to you and I, the not yet perfect soul, a part of the perfection of the I AM THAT I AM. 

So your higher self is right there, helping you and guiding you with every step along the way if you will allow it. James 4:8 says, ”Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you.” 

So the closer you move to your higher self, the closer your higher self can come to you. For some people, their higher self is further away because maybe God isn’t a big part of their lives. For others, their higher selves have been able to draw very near to them because they have sought out God. Just like anything, the more you put into it the more you get out of it.

And this is such an incredible, spiritual experience, that the saints and mystics who have gone down this path has often struggled to put it into words. Saint John of the Cross wrote a poem called “The Living Flame of Love”, in which he attempted to describe his experience of being transformed by this power of divine love. 

In his book, The Practice of the Presence of God, Brother Lawrence speaks in prose about the awesomeness of his daily experience of living hand in hand with God. The list goes on and on. I would say that falling in love with your higher self is one of the funnest, most tender and incredible parts of the spiritual path. 

And don’t let your lower self convince you that it’s not for you or that it’s too hard or whatever nonsense it might be throwing at you right now. Your higher self is right there, just waiting for you to make God a greater priority in your life so you can develop this amazing relationship.

Moving on, or up, the top figure in this chart of your true self is a sphere of light which is called the I AM Presence. To Buddhists, it is the Dharmakaya. Hindus call it Brahma. Christians refer to it as God the Father. Essentially it is God’s spirit individualized for each soul. It is the part of you that is God. 

Surrounding your I AM Presence are seven spheres of pulsating spiritual energy, together called the causal body. These seven spheres house the record of every good thing you’ve ever done. it’s like your bank account in heaven of all of your good works that you have ever done.

They say you can’t take it with you and that of course applies to physical objects and money and earthly things. But your virtue and good works and the service you render to life, the love that you share, the mastery and talent that you have gained in various endeavors, etc.; all of that goes straight to your causal body. 

So why are there seven spheres and these  particular seven colors?  Seven is actually a big number in heaven. These seven color rays are emitted from the white light of the I AM Presence like a rainbow prism. And these rays of light each have their own consciousness and awareness. 

They relate to the seven Elohim, the seven archangels, the seven days of creation, the seven major world religious paths back to God, and the seven ascended masters called the Lords of the seven rays who teach seekers on those seven paths. If you didn’t catch all that, just know that seven is big and that we’ll cover it all in other videos.

Just like our higher self, our I AM Presence is not far away from us or separated from us in time and space. It is a part of our being right now. The only separation we have from our I AM Presence is our own sense of limitation, our own unreality. As we commune with our I AM Presence and have that spiritual feeling when we go to church or meditate or think about God, that I AM Presence descends and meshes with our lower self. 

The last thing I want to tell you about is the crystal cord. This is the shaft of white light that comes from the heart of God, through the I AM Presence, through your Holy Christ self and down to you as you go about your business. If you place your hand on the top of your head, that is where your crystal cord enters your body. Your crystal cord nourishes your precious threefold flame as well and it is the umbilical cord, the lifeline, if you will, that connects you to spirit. 

Isn’t that amazing? You probably never thought that you had a spiritual umbilical cord, right? I love that concept—it makes me feel so connected to and supported by God. Just as babies evolving in the womb of the mother are connected to and nourished by the mother through that umbilical cord, so we as souls evolving in time in space are also connected back to the very heart of God through our crystal cord and are spiritually nourished by the light that comes through that cord. With this understanding, we never need to feel alone or separate from God ever again.

So, switching gears here, we know that God is one God and by looking at this chart of ourselves, we see that he is also individualized for each one of us. We are like drops in the ocean of God—separate, but one. And there are three parts to our drop: Our I AM Presence is the father, our higher self is the son, and we are the Holy Spirit. It is the trinity of our identity.

The thing that really strikes me about this is that most of us is already God. Only one third of us, the lower figure, is still tarrying in time and space, and the rest of us—who we really are—is already God and one with all the rest of God. It’s not like we are at point A and God is at point Z and it’s going to take us forever to get there. The reality is that most of us is already God and is already living with God in the planes of spirit, and all we have to do is help the last little bit of ourselves to join the rest of ourselves! 

So, that is a quick description of the chart of your real self. I like how it is summarized in the Summit Lighthouse’s website. The goal is to “become your real self, so that you return to the spiritual dimensions that are your real home. Through attention to your spiritual path, the three figures in the chart – now separate because of a limited consciousness – will one day become one. You too can attain union with God.”
